A sage green handwoven Kanchi cotton saree with a double side orange thread border carrying mankolam paisley and floral roundels, red thread buttas across the body and a striped pallu, with a running blouse in the same sage green. Woven in 100% pure cotton with a Kanchipuram-style thread border with a fine zari line, it is light and breathable, suits all body types and is right for office days, temple visits, poojas and festive daytime wear. It comes with an unstitched running blouse piece; dry clean the first wash, then hand wash gently in cold water.

Handwoven in 100% pure cotton — light enough for a full working day, finished enough for a temple morning or a festive lunch. The matching blouse comes with it. Dry clean the first wash, then a gentle cold hand wash.

Thread border — the border motifs here are woven in orange cotton thread against a deep ground, not in metallic zari. A single fine zari line runs along the outer edge before the red finish. A thread border sits lighter than a zari one and is the easier of the two to wear through a working week.

Mankolam — the Tamil word for the mango or paisley motif, one of the most enduring shapes in South Indian weaving. Here the paisleys run the length of the orange border, alternating with floral roundels.

Butta — a small woven motif repeated across the body of the saree. The red buttas here are woven into the cloth in thread on the loom, not printed or embroidered on afterwards.

Running blouse — the blouse piece is woven as part of the saree, in the same sage green as the body and carrying the same border. It is unstitched, so it can be tailored to your measurements.
