A pista green pure Kanchipuram silk saree with fine lines of silver zari, called Vari, running down the length of the body. The body is borderless, so the lines run evenly from edge to edge. The contrast pallu turns to rust orange, woven closely in silver zari in a chevron pattern with floral side borders and temple edges, and the rust orange blouse carries floral zari buttas. Silk Mark certified pure silk with pure zari, handwoven and curated in very limited pieces, it has a light yet poised drape that suits all body types and is right for festive days, family celebrations and evening celebrations. It comes with an unstitched blouse piece and is dry clean only.

Pista green is the soft yellow green of the pistachio nut, a light pastel shade that sits well with silver zari.
Care Guide
Dry clean only. This is pure silk with pure zari, and it should not be washed at home.
- Dry clean only to preserve the richness of the silk and zari
- Store folded in a breathable muslin cloth or cotton bag, never in plastic for long periods
- Keep away from direct sunlight, moisture and perfume
- Use sweat pads with the blouse to protect the silk from moisture
- Refold along different lines every few months and air the saree in shade
- Fold with the zari facing inwards to retain its natural sheen
- Iron on a low silk setting from the reverse, with a cloth over the fabric. Never iron directly on the zari
- Apply perfume and hairspray before draping, never on the saree
With thoughtful care, a pure Kanchipuram silk saree can be cherished for decades and may become an heirloom.
Handloom Characteristics
This saree is handwoven using traditional Kanchipuram weaving techniques, so no two pieces are identical. The following are marks of hand weaving, not defects:
- Subtle variation in the texture and sheen of the silk across the body
- Minor irregularity in the spacing and thickness of the zari lines
- Slight variation in tone where the pista green body meets the rust orange pallu
- Occasional loose threads on the reverse, where the zari is carried across the pallu and blouse buttas
Colour Representation
We photograph every saree under neutral lighting to represent its tone as accurately as possible. However, slight variations may occur due to:
- Lighting conditions
- Fabric texture and weave
- Screen or device settings
Pista green can read as lime green in bright light and as a softer, yellower green indoors. The rust orange pallu looks lighter and pinker where the silver zari is dense.
If you would like more clarity, we are happy to assist with:
- Additional close-up photos
- A personalised video call appointment
These characteristics are inherent to hand weaving and are not considered defects. They are what make each Ayraa saree truly one of a kind.
Styling Suggestions
Blouse: The saree comes with a rust orange blouse with floral zari buttas, so the contrast is already built in. A pista green blouse keeps the look tonal and light.
Jewellery: Silver-toned jewellery, pearls or diamonds sit naturally with the silver zari. Coral or ruby pieces pick up the rust orange pallu.
Drape: Pleat it the usual way with the pallu over your left shoulder, so the zari lines fall straight through the pleats and the rust orange pallu is seen in full.
Wear it to: festive days, family celebrations, daytime functions and evening celebrations.
