A mehendi green handwoven Kanchi cotton saree with a double side bottle green zari border carrying mayil and paisley, bottle green buttas across the body and a pallu of fine zari lines, with a running blouse in the same mehendi green. Woven in 100% pure cotton with a Kanchipuram-style border in zari, it is light and breathable, suits all body types and is right for office days, temple visits, poojas and festive daytime wear. It comes with an unstitched running blouse piece; dry clean the first wash, then hand wash gently in cold water.

Handwoven in 100% pure cotton — light enough for a full working day, finished enough for a temple morning or a festive lunch. The matching blouse comes with it. Dry clean the first wash, then a gentle cold hand wash.

Mayil — the Tamil word for peacock, and one of the oldest motifs in South Indian weaving. Here the peacocks run the length of the bottle green border in zari, alternating with paisley.

Butta — a small woven motif repeated across the body of the saree. The bottle green buttas here pick up the colour of the border, and are woven into the cloth in thread on the loom, not printed or embroidered on afterwards.

Running blouse — the blouse piece is woven as part of the saree, in the same mehendi green as the body and carrying the same zari border. It is unstitched, so it can be tailored to your measurements.
