A magenta pink pure silk Ikat x Kanchipuram fusion saree, with slate blue ikat tree motifs and fine zari stripes across the body. The ikat threads are tie-dyed before weaving, which gives the trees their soft, feathered edges. The wide plain slate blue border carries sprays of ginkgo leaves in zari over silver-toned moon motifs, in the Kanchipuram style. The zari pallu is woven with a slate blue wave pattern and edged with a row of kovil (temple) points, and the slate blue running blouse carries zari stripes and a ginkgo moon motif. Silk Mark certified pure silk with pure zari, handwoven and curated in very limited pieces, it has a light yet poised drape that suits all body types and is right for festive days, evening functions and family celebrations. It comes with an unstitched blouse piece and is dry clean only.

Ikat is a resist-dye technique in which the threads are tied and dyed before weaving, so the pattern forms on the loom with soft, feathered edges. Here the ikat tree motifs in the body are combined with a Kanchipuram border and zari pallu.

Vari is the Tamil word for stripes. Here fine zari lines run across the whole magenta ikat body.

Kovil means temple. A row of small temple points edges the pallu where it meets the body, a classic Kanchipuram detail set against a contemporary design.
