A black pure Kanchipuram silk saree woven in Vari (stripes), each stripe a fine purple line with a row of small floral zari buttas on either side. The body is borderless, so the stripes run cleanly from edge to edge. The contrast pallu turns to orchid pink, woven closely in silver-toned zari in a grid of manga (paisley) and floral motifs with large manga side borders, and it comes with a plain orchid pink blouse. Silk Mark certified pure silk with pure zari, handwoven and curated in very limited pieces, it has a light yet poised drape that suits all body types and is right for evening occasions, receptions and festive gatherings. It comes with an unstitched blouse piece and is dry clean only.

Vari is the Tamil word for stripes. Here each stripe is a fine purple line running the length of the saree, with a row of small floral zari buttas on either side.

Manga is the Tamil word for mango, the paisley motif of South Indian weaving. It fills the pallu in a zari grid and runs large along its side borders.

Butta is a single motif woven into the body of the saree on the loom, not printed or embroidered on afterwards.
